Great Birth! It is a Boy

I had a birth on January 22,2008. She was only 35 weeks and 4days. This was her second baby. I was with her first child also. With her first she was 38 weeks and she weighed a little over seven pounds. At that birth she used no medication. However at the time of pushing, she would not listen and she had a third degree tear. With this recent birth she was un-medicated with the use of pitocin. At the time of pushing she really listen. She had a first degree tear. She only had to get one stitch.
Baby apgars was 8 and 9 however baby had difficulty breathing through the night. Today he was a lot better and also the mom.

I had a very busy day, with returning phone calls, teaching two classes and networking.

MAP OUT YOUR JOURNEY

Failing to have a life plan is the single biggest mistake for entrepreneurs. You must plan, plan, and plan:

1. Write a life plan:

Take a plain piece of paper, breaking down the components of your life: career-personal and financial. Successful people create such a plan, review and alter it. Define your purpose in life. What is it that makes you different from everyone around you? What is it that you love?

2.Update your skills:

Most of us have great skills when we start on a new adventure. However we don't bother to update them. If you are not growing you are in danger of failing. Also update supplies that you use for your business. Stay current with your business. It keeps it fresh and new to you.

3.Deliver Results:

Always Deliver- What you delivered in the pass is the pass. Always Deliver!!

4.Focus on effectiveness:

Do what matters.

5.Remember no one is irreplaceable:

The statement speaks for itself.

6.Promote yourself:

Take credit for what you accomplish and let others know about your accomplishments.

7:Keep your perspective:

You need to be aware of your shortcomings. Be open to feedback. Don't be defensive.

The Doula and Childbirth Educator Business I love how how I know that I still have to stay on top of my game.

WELCOME: A LONG JOURNEY

I have arrived. This have been a long journey. When I was a young child, I have always love pregnant women. I looked at one of my college papers that I wrote years ago and it mentioned that I always was interested in procreation and wanting to be a midwife. Some how I let life get in the way of that passion.

It took a lot of years to find that Passion again. They say whatever your passion is, it is from your childhood. It is right in front of your face and you can not see it. All I really needed to do was slow down and find a quiet spot and it would have appeared to me.

Now that I have found that spot, I will not lose it again. Passion is Freedom.

WOMEN NEED WOMEN

I am a women, wife, mother, grandmother and a Certified Labor Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Teen Support Professional and a member of CAPPA Association . I am now working on being a Lactation Educator.

I Have a Contract with Healthy Start Coalition as a Childbirth Educator for the Public High Schools in my County and for Doula Births. I also have a contract with the YWCA for Doula Births and Childbirth Education classes for their teen parents program.

This has been a great journey- I have attended over 100+ births with older ,teen, homeless, visually impaired, and substance abuse moms.

I could not have done all that I done without the help of my husband. When I am gone for a couple of hours or for 36+ hours or more he is there to support me. He make sure my quartly taxes are up to date and mail them on time, make sure the clothes are clean and make sure he does not make a mess when I am gone. He really understands when I have been gone for 36+ hours that I need to sleep maybe for 24 hours to rest.

Thanks for all the doulas that backed me up at my births.

Again, I welcome you to my journey and come on the roller coaster ride with me. It will be a great ride.
